Metal-Glu Elastic is contained in 2 proportioners, two component elastic epoxy glue. An elastic, flexible glue, mainly to sticking together rubber, plastics, leather etc., but also to joining metals, wood, ceramics etc.
The glue is appropriate to sticking soft materials with soft materials, soft with hard and hard with hard. It is thick universal epoxy glue, two- component regenerative preparation, fast setting up, contained in two dosage syringes. It substitutes hot vulcanization by gluing in ambient temperature. It also joints most of the other materials – is a universal preparation.
we can modify ourselves the elasticity of glue- paste after exact mixing, by 1.5 minute mixing the components in various proportions.
Mix the two components together, that is the Base and Reactor quickly, in 1.5 minute, in proportion by volume: or 1 to 1, or 1 part of Base to 0.75 part of Reactor, or 1 part of Base to 0.5 part of Reactor, dosing exactly the volume from syringes.
Glue stiff, slightly elastic - 1 part of Base to 0.5 part of Reactor
Glue elastic, flexible - 1 part of Base to 0.75 part of Reactor
Glue very elastic, like rubber - 1 part of Base to 1 part of Reactor.
There in the proportion, 1 to 1 is a reduced thermal stability – use the glue bonding in the temperature less than 50°C.
Mix the two components from the syringes together in proportion by volume, 1 part of Base A to 1 part of Reactor. Example: 3 ml of Base A and 3 ml of Reactor B, before the application, mix exactly on the board using the wooden spatula. Mix VERY EXACTLY, at least by 1.5 minute, using the attached wooden spatula, so that all the fragments of the separated partition would react. Apply within a few minutes onto the details being glued.
After mixing do not make a mistake with the color of cups (hole plugs) which must correspond to the color of the labels placed on the dosage cylinders.
There are available highly resistant joints: rubber with rubber, rubber with various fabrics or with leather, rubber with plastics, rubber with metal, rubber or leather with various materials, leather with metal, metal with metals, metal with wood, with ceramics, with glass. The preparation has high adherence also medium adherence to surface of some plastics (which could not be glued up to now) as polyethylene and polypropylene.
It is advantageous to roughen the surfaces by means of abrasive paper or grinder before gluing together, exactly degrease the places going to be glued (non- rubber details) using a solvent (in the case of rubber the solvents are excluded- use the detergents or denatured alcohol and dry exactly). Apply the preparation after a very exact 3 minutes mixing, using the spatula attached to the kit.The strength of joint is dependant upon exactness of mixing the partition on the board and reacting in the whole volume of glue.
Properties & Usage.
1.Joints soft and hard materials – is a fast bonding preparation Glues and fills decrements, bonds in 15 to 25 minutes
2.Full strength in a few up to several hours from the instant of application There will be 4-8 minutes left after mixing to spread the mixed paste onto the details to be glued. In the next 10 to 20 minutes, the glue layer will be progressively hardened (cured). In thinner layers, the curing is slower and the hardening is achieved later, after 20- 40 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. Full hardening takes several hours depending on the environment temperature.
3.Apply the preparation after 1,5-minutes of a very exact mixing, using the spatula, which is attached to the kit.
4.Safety and work hygiene:The glue does not contain toxic components. Some people can have a slight allergy to amine compounds contained in reactor- however; these compounds are not volatile so the health hazard is minimal. During mixing and spreading the glue, hands should be protected by safety gloves. In the case of getting reactor B into the eye-, wash the eye with a stream of water. Dirty hands wash with water and soap, and the resin remove from hands using denature alcohol or acetone.
